Oakland Blackeyed Pea FestivalCommunity
Celebrating African American Traditional Culture through Food, Art and Music.  The Black-Eyed Pea Festival is a celebration of African and African American Culture using a cherished foodway as its theme. 

The Festival will feature traditional musicians, artists and storytellers, art and craft vendors, health information, community resource information, and corporate sponsors. 

Classes will be offered in meditation, yoga and dance. A children’s crafts area will feature t-shirt painting and rattle making with black-eyed peas. In addition to other foods, black-eyed pea themed dishes will be sold. All are welcome.  For more information. http://www.omnirainstitute.org
