The Big Squeeze: O.C. Accordion FestivalMusic

If you think the accordion isn't cool and is just for polka dancing, think again. "The Big Squeeze," the Annual Orange County Accordion Festival, aims to change anyone's tune who thinks the accordion is un-cool.

Dozens of accordionists and other musicians take on the responsibility of eliminating the narrow image of the squeezebox. Four stages showcase a diverse music menu including Cajun, Zydeco, Tejano, German, Bavarian, Folk, French, Merengue, Latin, Jazz, Irish, Blues, Cabaret, Rock, Gospel, Country, Italian, Classical, Salsa, Rhythm and Blues, and much more. If you are a closeted accordionist or have an old squeezebox in the closet, it's time for a coming out party. You can get free lessons, play with other accordionists in open jam sessions or have that old accordion appraised.

The Big Squeeze is held in conjunction with the weekend swap meet.
