Arts Council meeting in San Jose on April 23

The California Arts Council will meet on Wednesday, April 23 at the School of Arts and Culture at the Mexican Heritage Plaza, 1700 Alum Rock Avenue, San Jose, CA 95116. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at approximately 5:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and address the Council during the public comment period. L.A. Mayor supports Arts Council Budget Restoration

NEA awards nearly $5 million to CA arts orgs

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced that one hundred and thirty-two grants, totaling $4,848,900, will be awarded to California arts organizations and agencies. "NEA support reaches many diverse communities across our state, from Venice to Arcata, Fresno to San Diego," said Craig Watson.
