Celebrate Arts in Education Week Sept 8-14

Join us in celebrating Arts in Education Week, September 8-14! As the state's arts agency, the California Arts Council is proud to advance arts education in the state through our Artists in Schools program, support of local arts organizations, and leadership role in the statewide arts education coalition CREATE CA. Join our Facebook campaign and share your story about how arts education has impacted your life.

Free Health Care Law Workshops for the Arts Community

Are you confused about health care reform? The Actor's Fund and California Lawyers for the Arts are presenting a series of free workshops aimed at helping you understand how the new health care law affects freelancers, the self-employed, and the general creative arts community. Free workshops will take place in Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and Oakland.

First Virtual Listening Tour Friday, Sept 6

As promised, we are offering one final opportunity for you to tell us how the California Arts Council can best serve you and all Californians over the next three to five years. If you weren't able to participate in our in-person Listening Tour events or online survey, or just have more to say, join us on Friday, September 6 or Wednesday, September 11 for a webinar-style online forum.
