Arts Council grantee's Oscars impact

When the filmmaking team of Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine won the Oscar for documentary short with "Inocente," they highlighted the enormous impact of "A Reason to Survive," a nonprofit organization -- and a Creating Public Value grantee -- dedicated to bettering the lives of homeless youth through the arts.

"Statewide Networks" Grants Extended for Second Year

At its recent meeting, the California Arts Council voted to fund its existing Statewide Networks grantees through a second year while the agency is conducting a programs evaluation and strategic planning. Funding levels will be based on the grantees' current rankings. Existing grantees will not be required to complete a new application. In early March, they will receive an email with instructions on reporting requirements.
